The UP2700 was a motherboard that API NetWorks announced in August 2000 for release in Q1 2001, alongside the [[hardware:motherboards:up1500|UP1500]] and [[hardware:motherboards:up1700|UP1700]]. The UP2700 was to use the Caspian chipset and dual Slot B [[wp>Alpha_21264#Alpha_21264B|EV68]] processors exceeding 1 GHz. API also planned support for up to 8 GiB of 200 MHz DDR SDRAM, onboard SCSI, dual Ethernet, and 66 MHz 64-bit PCI.
