Subject: [suse-axp] how to boot off SRM with kernel on hard drive?

Hi list,
While I have enjoyed first steps with SuSE 6.1 on my AS 250 4/266, I am
still struggling with getting it to boot the harddrive-installed kernel
off of SRM. I followed the instructions in the booklet under 2.2.2
Booten from SRM console to the letter. However, when I try to boot by
typing "boot dkb0 0" at the SRM prompt I only get an invalid device
error back. Booting works with "boot dva0 -file /vmlinux.gz
"root=/dev/fd0" but that of course only loads the boot kernel from the
aboot-tga disk. How do I activate the kernel on /boot/vmlinuz?
Is there an on-line manual on aboot that I could consult? I am also
very ignorant about the SRM console. Any pointers to where I could find
some more info about it?
Many thanks in advance, Alex.
