Go to www.scyld.com and get Donald Becker's latest driver. The ones in the
kernel (at least the 2.2.x version) are rather old. Make sure to read his
docs on building it either as a module or in the kernel, it's not just as
simple as dropping them in.
I've been using v1.11 for several weeks (I think 1.13 is latest now??) and
very rarely do I see one of the messages below.
