  Yes, I can, but my original problem was Adaptec 2940 which
  won't be initialized correctly under SRM. Adaptec just
  uses default values for SCSI-bus; 10MHz/async is even worse
  than old narrow SCSI. I think that when AlphaBIOS is used
  then Adaptec's BIOS is also initialized to correct values.

  btw. I am using XP1000's onboard QLogic for system disk
  so there is no problem with booting under SRM, but I
  planned to use few spare Adaptec's for software RAID to
  speed up my DB-applications; obviously that "speed" is
  not so speedy after all.
