X initialization fails with the following message:
Fatal server error:
xf86EnableIOPorts: Failed to set IOPL for I/O
I've tried this with RedHat 6.1 and 6.2beta
(rooted on hdd3),
using an S3 card with three different S3 drivers
and three different kernels, 2.2.14, 2.2.15, and 2.3.99pre3.
The same configurations yield a working X when I
boot Suse 6.3 (rooted on hda5).
Has anyone else seen this, and is there a fix?
