seems to be a kernel problem at this point if not more..... tried compiling
2.2.14 for it
If you compile specific (noritake-primo) then it drops the keyboard / mouse
as soon as the machine starts.
compiling generic solves that problem but not the stability one.

also it dumps when you try to exec anything through the sg code... was
trying to rip a CD and then CRASH... buhbye computer and 20mins of fsck
(there's 40GB of space on mine that is almost all used)

seriously debating FreeBSD on it... just so I can have a stable server that
doesn't randomly puke on me

I am having similar reliability problems with my DEC AS3300. I am
experiencing random lockups. Doesn't matter if I'm in X or not. My
configuration is:

128M, IBM 18G DGHS HD, Matrox Millenium,
DEC PCI NIC, 3com 3C595 NIC, & SB16 ISA

I am running RH 6.1 with updates. I tri-boot NETBSD
and NT4 on this machine as well and they both run stable. I'm glad I'm not
the only one having problems. I guess this is why redhat lists this machine
as "compatible but not supported"
